I made this...

Some photo's of the new cushions I made, as promised. I still didn't seem to be able to get a decent photo of them, but these will give you a rough idea.
(I'm afraid everything is quite brown in this photo - lounge, table, cabinet - and I have previously decided to brighten things up and possibly paint our old coffee table white and get some colour on those walls. It doesn't look quite as bad in real life, well nearly as bad! I don't think Design Sponge will be asking for more photos. Maybe one day...)
I love this fabric and the 50's feel of the colours. I made simple cushion covers that close with buttons to make it easy to remove and wash them when necessary.
And, they are very comfortable.

  2. Oh I love that fabric! They are fab,you have down a wonderful job. I especially like the yellow/mustard colour. If you could find a throw in that colour, it would work a treat.

  3. Hey nothin' wrong with a bit of brown. The cushions add excellent visual interest though. Really great fabric. I do like the idea of painting the table white though too!

  4. Your lounge matches mine - brown cabinets, brown leather couch, brown coffee table. Bec went to Ikea last week and got me some gorgeous orange fabric to make some bright cushions with. Maybe I should get off the laptop and make them?

  7. I love the cushions and think the coffee table being white would be great. I know a certain twin with just the white paint that you need... And if you got rid of the brown throw it would help!

  10. These look really nice.I think a mustard throw would look great here too!

I got some fabric from Ikea a couple of weeks ago after wanting to get some for ages- there was never anyone there to help before. So I pounced when I saw a shop assistant lurking in the fabric! I wish I had got more, but Jemima was having a meltdown at the time so I had to be quick!
