I could hardly sleep last night.
I couldn't get comfortable. I couldn't turn my brain off. I couldn't relax.
It may sound funny, however, all I could think about was the Colette pattern that arrived in the mail.

When finally I slept, my dreams were coloured by fabric, scissors, buttons and thread...
Still day dreaming about the blouse I made up the IKEA fabric into three cushions for the lounge. If I could get a decent photo of them on there I would share them with you. Soon perhaps.
I think I really need to make a start on this blouse. Like really start on it, so I can sleep tonight. I should make a mock up first in cotton I think. I need lightweight fusible interfacing too... hmmm...
That is a gorgeous top! I wouldn't be able to sleep either :)
ReplyDeleteNope doesn't sound weird at all - been there done that! And I don't blame you, that top is super gorgeous. So did you get a start on it?
ReplyDeleteIt was in the air last night love, I got up (actually out of bed and to the other end of the house) to write something down FOUR times!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how it goes !
Snap - I have that pattern arrive last week and I am busting to give it a go, no time - stupid school holidays - don't they know that interupts my sewing routine
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to get that pattern for ages. I'm excited to hear how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that exciting when life is too exciting to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see your creations. xx
I've been having that problem for about a week now. I can't sleep because of ideas swimming around in my head and then when I do sleep..it's just fabric and clothes patterns and colours, in my dreams! I wake up exhausted every morning!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough life, this life of crafting and sewing!
Enjoy making the top! Can't wait to see it.
Sounds like you could do with 2 or 3 sets of arms to get this show on the road!
