It's nice to give your children some of the toys from your own childhood I think. My parents brought my little old children's sewing machine out of storage. It once had batteries and a foot peddle and sewed lines with it's single thread, the needle only lifting very slightly so little fingers cannot be caught by it.
Although it is a little worse for wear, Cohen is enjoying playing with it and that's all that matters I think.

  2. That's gorgeous, Isn't it the prettiest colour! I bet you had loads of fun with it when you were little. It's so nice to see another generation sharing the same fun. I have mostly my most special dolls, some that were my Mum's, but my boys are not the least bit interested..I'll save them for the grandkids to have one day...

  5. Beautiful!
My daughter had my dolls house years ago but I sadly gave it away after she grew out of it.
My boys do have some wooden blocks that were mine and some Duplo that belonged to my eldest 18 years ago.
