library bags

Thank you all for your well wishes yesterday. The nerves beforehand were the worst part, the actual scan and capsule were relatively simple. The one meter rule with Cohen is already breaking my heart. He fell over and burst into tears almost as soon as we walked out of the hospital. It's quite difficult to suppress the mothering urge to pick him up immediately, and instead be required to stand back and wait for someone else to soothe him. I keep having to remind myself, and Cohen, that I'm 'sick'.

This is the sewing that was occupying my attention Sunday. Christmas gifts for our little friends. Three Pj bags from Pip's sweet new book and some little library/toy bags. I also received this lovely parcel from my friend Melissa. Books, fabric, wool and a the cutest vintage cot sheet. She knows the way to my heart for sure. Thanks Melissa.

  1. My heart aches for you not being able to be near your little man. Thank goodness it's only for a few days. I'm glad to hear the treatment wasn't too traumatic.
I love your recent crafting, sewing for little people is lots of fun.
Take care. I'm looking forward to a cup of tea with you in the new year.

  2. All those crafty projects are wonderful! I'm glad all went well yesterday, though I feel for you not being able to hug your little man. Thank goodness for such a loving & supportive family surrounding you all. There won't be any shortage of cuddles for Cohen, that's for sure xx

  5. I have a friend here who went through the same treatment. Time will pass quickly and all will be well. It's so wonderful and comforting that you have crafty things to work on during this time. And the loving support of family and friends certainly makes it all a little easier to bear. Wishing you all the best. Happy Holidays! Tammy
