Fresh homemade pasta

36 weeks. Another ultrasound today. Perhaps our last black and white visions of our little ones' internal world before we meet him/her in person. In the meantime, I've been distracting myself with cooking, knitting, reading and resting. Wondering all the while, nonetheless, how much longer it will be. One week? Four? And taking each moment as it comes.

  1. Did you make your own pasta? I have always wanted to do that. 36 weeks. Wow! That has gone fast. You must be getting very excited to meet the new addition.

  2. I can't believe it's 36 weeks already! Exciting times. The book you're reading looks very interesting. Handmade Beginnings is a lovely book - the quick change trousers and the little girls dress are easy projects. I cut out all the pieces for the maternity belt when I was pregnant and then never got around to piecing them together. Your week looks like it has been quite productive.

  4. Methinks, it's time to put the old towel onto the car seat - you don't want to ruin the car seat... just in case!!! We drove around the last month with a plastic bag then an old towel on the seat - just in case!! (tho in the end it was un-necessary!!)

  8. This is my first visit to your blog and how lovely it is. Congratulations on your impending arrival; such an exciting time. Best of luck to you and your family. Relax and enjoy this very special time.

PS - your pasta has inpired my dinner choice for my family tonight. Deciding on what to serve the hubby, two children and one adolescent (she won't be referred to as a child), is always one of my biggest and toughest decisions of my day, so thank you for the inspiration.
