Getting back to it

Good morning! This was how we were greeted this morning. :) (Think it's time to pull the side of the cot all the way up.) #cheekybaby

Just this morning this (cheeky) little girl was standing in her cot for the first time. Cohen suddenly no longer needs the stool to stand on to wash his hands. And I found two watermelons growing in the garden that weren't there last time I looked. It feels like there is new growth all around me and I am feeling well enough now to appreciate it. Thank you for all your well wishes and sympathy on my last post. How lovely you are.

There is much work to catch up on today. A mountain of washing. An island of towels. A tower of dishes. Dirty floor and bathroom. Camping and sickness bring new challenges to the housewife! Time to find our rhythm again.

So here are a couple of inspirational links while I get to work -

  1. I'm glad you're feeling better. Being a sick mama is hard work.
I love those kinds of milestones that seem to happen overnight.
We go pumpkin hunting every morning, so far the count is 17! Very exciting.
I hope you have a nice slow day and all the mountains, islands and towers wash away peacefully.

p.s. I'd like to adopt Rhonda as a Grandmother too.

  5. Gorgeous pic ! At least you have dropped the level of the cot unlike us negligent parents many years ago and we heard a thump.... Luckily child was okay! Down went that cot level!!!

  8. Glad you are feeling better.

We are getting life back to normal over here too.
I have been spending a few hours a day cleaning. I left my big spring clean a bit late this year and I am regretting it as cleaning in this heat is not a pleasant task! But the house has nearly recovered from the onslaught of in laws and holiday revelry.
I did my first meal plan in three weeks today, went to the grocery and tomorrow am off to the markets.
I am hoping to spend Sunday in the kitchen building up a little stash of frozen meals and baked goods.
And Monday it is back to work!

Glad to hear you are feeling better and I'm sure it won't be long until you are back in the swing.

I once asked Rhonda how I could become her honorary grand-daughter, she was lovely but said all the spots were filled. (this is a true story!)
